Day 1: Arrival in Beijing

When you arrive in Beijing today, your two weeks China group tour officially begins. Once you have claimed your luggage and cleared customs, you will find our guide waiting for you in the airport arrivals area, holding a welcome sign bearing your name. The guide and driver will take you to the hotel and help you register for three nights. The rest of the day is for your own use.

Day 2: Beijing

Commence your visit to Tiananmen Square and then to the Forbidden City, the home of emperors in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Nowadays, it houses the palace museum with numerous imperial treasures. Every detail of the palace tells its visitors a story of ancient royal life. Lunch is served at a celebrated restaurant with an a la carte menu.

In the afternoon, you will visit the Temple of Heaven, which used to be the altar where emperors worshiped heaven and prayed for a good harvest. Later, the highlight of the evening will be a brilliant Chinese Kung Fu Show performed at the Red Theatre.

Day 3: Beijing

We suggest you have a full breakfast this morning, as we will drive from downtown to climb the wondrous Great Wall at Badaling. Restaurants in the mountain area are of low quality and do not meet our service standard, so we suggest you have some fast food for lunch. A jade factory is scheduled later.

Then you are going to visit the Sacred Way that was linking all the tombs in the cemetery. At the conclusion of today's trip, you will have a chance to take photos of the 2008 Olympic Games Bird's Nest Stadium when passing by.

Day 4: Beijing - Xian

This will be an exciting morning as you visit the scenic Summer Palace and go to a pearl store. Based on Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake, its design embodies the solemnity and grace of a royal garden that incorporates the joy of nature, which is also a monument to classical Chinese architecture. Later, you will have an a la carte lunch.

After lunch, a visit to the old Hutongs follows. Then you are off to the next destination - Xian. Our local guide will greet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel for a three-night stay.

Day 5: Xian

The morning escorted tour is scheduled with a visit to the well-known Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum and a pottery-making factory. It might be difficult for you to imagine the surprising moment when you see the great army of strong life-sized terracotta warriors assembled in their thousands to protect the tomb of the first Emperor Qin. Then we will transfer you back to the city and have an a la carte lunch cooked by the host at a local family's home.

The afternoon will be spent visiting the Small Wild Goose Pagoda and Xian Museum. A splendid evening is in store when you are entertained by the Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show while enjoying a famous Chinese dumpling dinner.


Tips: Since the Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show will be closed in Jan, Feb, Mar and Dec, we do not calculate the price of the show and dumpling dinner for tours starting during this period. Clients will enjoy a free night by themselves.

Day 6: Xian

Morning visit to the well-preserved ancient City Wall (you may wish to take an optional cycle ride on the wall, bike rental fee is your responsibility) and the Provincial History Museum.

After an a la carte lunch, a visit to the Great Mosque will be your adventure for the afternoon. It is noted for its unique architecture that perfectly combines traditional Chinese and Islamic styles. Around the mosque is the largest Moslem community, where you will see Islamic customs, intertwining alleyways, and countless Moslem snack shops. Finally we transfer you back to the hotel.

Day 7: Xian - Guilin

Today, you will board a flight to Guilin. Upon your arrival, our local guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to the hotel for a two-night stay. Then you will visit the Reed Flute Cave.

Day 8: Guilin - Yangshuo - Guilin

Today will be a memorable experience as you cruise down the beautiful Li River from Guilin to Yangshuo. The river, with its calm sparkling water, is the essence of the city's landscape and reputed as the "Hundred Mile Gallery". After docking at Yangshuo, you will enjoy the amazing rural scenery as we drive along the surrounding country roads. En route, you will be invited to visit a villager's home. After that, we will transfer you back to Guilin and visit Elephant Trunk Hill.

Tips: As the cruise company offers lunch box on the ship. It may fail to meet with your approval. We are aware of the shortcomings and suggest you prepare for the cruise with a generous breakfast at the hotel.

Day 9: Guilin - Chongqing

Take a morning bullet train for around 5.5 hours to Chongqing. Upon your arrival, our local guide will meet you at Chongqing West Railway Station and take you to visit the Liberation Monuments and Ciqikou Ancient Town. After that you will board the Yangtze River cruise ship for a three-night stay. It sets sail at 22:00, when your relaxing Yangtze cruise begins. Today's lunch and dinner are not included.

Day 10: Yangtze River Cruise

You will gain some knowledge of the cruise ship and its activities schedule through the river guide's morning presentation. In the early afternoon, an onshore excursion is arranged when the ship anchors at Shibaozhai. Don't be surprised when you see some new buildings standing along certain sections of the river banks. They are purpose-built dwellings for those farmers who once led a hard life in the hills before the Three Gorges Project was constructed. In the evening, you will be invited to attend the Welcome Party hosted by the Captain.

Day 11: Yangtze River Cruise

Today the ship will sail through the most splendid part of the Three Gorges. The first is the Qutang Gorge, which is only eight kilometers long but encompasses the most dangerous part. Then the ship will sail into a deep and attractive part, Wu Gorge. An excursion between three and four hours long along the Shennong Stream by sampan is arranged for you today. Afterwards, the ship will continue to sail into heavily-shoaled Xiling Gorge.

Day 12: Yichang - Shanghai

This morning, the onshore excursion will take you to visit the stunning Three Gorges Dam site, which plays an important flood control role. Then take your time to check out. Our local guide will meet you on board and take you to have lunch. Then board the flight to Shanghai, where the guide in Shanghai will greet you and transfer you to the hotel.

Day 13: Shanghai

Today we will show you the most important commercial and financial hub in China. The first destination is Shanghai Museum. There are all kinds of collections, and some rarities even command world-wide attention. Next let's turn to the Yuyuan Garden and a silk shop. The farewell a la carte lunch will be served at a well-reputed restaurant featuring Shanghai dishes.

Then continue your visit to the Bund and have a cruise tour on Huangpu River. You will also have some free time on the Bund. After that, our guide and driver will transfer you back to the hotel and bid farewell in the lobby.

Day 14: Departure from Shanghai

Your 2 weeks guided tours of China draws to a close today. You need to head to the airport for your homebound flight by yourself as your trip does not include this transfer service. We suggest you book a taxi or the airport shuttle bus at the hotel concierge desk the day before your departure. We wish you a happy flight back home and hope we can serve you again in the future.

  • The hotel/cruise accommodation is based on two persons sharing one standard twin room/cabin with private facilities in all relevant locations. If a single client requests a twin room/cabin alone, the single room/cabin supplement will be charged.

  • Land transfers for you and the group between airports, hotels and all sightseeing spots as specified in the itinerary. Separate requirement for the transfers will incur extra charge.
  • One English-speaking guide and one experienced driver will accompany you on the guided sightseeing tours in each city.

  • For Yangtze River cruise, the shore excursion in groups and activities will be subject to the arrangements made by the cruise company.
  • On Yangtze River cruise, daily American breakfast, lunch and dinner are served. The beverage arrangements are subject to policies of different cruise companies.

A ten percent (10%) of the tour total price is required as deposit upon your confirmation of the tour. The final or full payment is required 30 days prior to the tour commence.

Reservation and Payment

  • Our quotation is calculated in Chinese currency (CNY). For the convenience of clients, we convert it to US Dollars at a current exchange rate USD1.00 = CNY6.20. The exchange rate is valid for 3 months from the quotation date.
  • A ten percent (10%) of the tour total price is required as deposit upon your confirmation of the tour. The handling charge is your responsibility. A reservation for your tour will not be considered firm until the deposit is received.
  • The final or full payment is required 30 days prior to the tour commence. The handling charge is your responsibility.
  • For any changes made prior to the tour commence, the client will enjoy our free change service. However, if in case there are any extra losses occurred due to the reservation changes, you are responsible to pay for this part.
  • The cancellation fee will be a certain percentage of the tour total price.
  • After the tour begins, any extra charges caused by clients' changes will be added. Any unused portion is neither refundable nor exchangeable.

Cancellation & Refund

  • 30 days or more before the arrival day: we will refund the full cost to you except for the actual air, train, hotel cancellation fee and the bank transfer fee if there is.
  • 29 days to 15 days before: 30% of the total price.
  • 14 days to 3 days before: 50% of the total price.
  • Cancellation within 2 days before: 100% of the total price.
  • If the client cancels the trip, the client should inform us by email. We calculate your refund on the day when we receive the written cancellation by Beijing time. All refunds to the client will be processed within 20 days of receipt of your cancellation.
  • If we cancel a tour due to circumstances beyond our control, we will endeavor to find an alternative tour for the client or refund all payment paid. A full refund will constitute final settlement for the client; the company shall not take responsibilities for any expenses that may have been incurred as a result of the client's booking.

Group Size
We guarantee departures with even one person. Our groups provide our travelers a perfect combination between intimacy, flexibility and low price. We reserve the right to decline to accept or retain any person as a passenger should such person's health or mental condition or physical infirmity or general deportment impede the operation of the trip or the rights or welfare or enjoyment of other passengers.

Passports and Visas
Please make sure you have got your valid passport and visa before leaving for China. We can send you a free official invitation to assist you to obtain your visa after the reservation deposit is received. For those who may be qualified for a 72-hour visa free stay in Beijing (Shanghai), we suggest you double confirm this with your local embassy or consulate.

Sole Occupancy

If any tour participant travels alone and needs our assistance to find a roommate, we will endeavor to meet his needs. We will introduce and exchange their personal status to each other. After the two single travel guests confirm the other roommate and the tour begins, any roommate cannot change the confirmed sharing basis twin room, no matter whatever habits a roommate has which cause inconvenience such as and not limited to smoking, excessive snoring, etc. If one roommate insists on staying one single room, the roommates must get the agreement with the other roommate to pay the sole occupancy separately.
